The vendor even updates the virus definition files on a daily bases, leaving you fully protected at all times. Panda Anti-Virus is also the only antivirus program monitoring your web downloads for viruses.

Panda Platinum 6 installs easily on all versions of Windows, with a quick and uncomplicated procedure. Once running, the only sign you'll see to begin with is the panda icon in the System Tray.

Panda claims that Platinum 6 locates and disinfects or kills all known viruses in many ways. You have access to the standard kit in the form of a real-time and on demand scanning engine. On top of this, Panda offers internet protection in the shape of virus protection within common email clients, including Outlook and Outlook Express, Netscape Mail and Eudora. It also protects within common web browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape.

Panda Anti-Virus emerged the victor in our virus catching and killing tests. It caught every virus in both our known-virus and heuristics test, and i posted no false positives. While it was not the fastest, it's scan time was still tolerably brief. Panda is also very easy to use, despite out minor annoyance with the registration process.

If you need to control how often you scan and what you want scanned, then Panda Anti-Virus Platinum has your number. You can customize this utility till the cows come home--or until you transform it into a lethal antivirus weapon. The interface, however, leaves much to be desired.
